Welcome

I am a researcher in Medical Physics at the University of Edinburgh where I have been involved in ultrasound and MR imaging related projects. I have experience in designing actuators and phantoms for accuracy assessment of ultrasound and MR imaging techniques; image processing of ultrasound images; and surface modelling and data visualisation for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation.

My Work

I have been involved in a variety of ultrasound and MR imaging related projects.  Some of my key work includes
  • designing an actuator for magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) scanning
  • designing a brain temperature phantom for MR spectroscopy
  • creating a Doppler tissue imaging phantom
  • developing a freehand 3D ultrasound system
  • image processing using LabVIEW IMAQ and MATLAB
  • evaluating arterial wall motion using a motorised test tool
  • design of a mechanical 3D ultrasound scanning device
  • creating patient-specific computerised arterial models for blood flow simulation.
