Research

Working within the Neural Group of the Institute of Integrated Micro and Nano Systems at the University of Edinburgh I am currently employed as a the Head of School's designated researcher. Prior to that I was a research associate investigating Biologically Inspired VLSI computation, funded by an EPSRC Platform Grant.

PhD

I investigated the use of spike timing correlations to create more robust analogue systems. In particular the ability of spike timing systems to adapt out the effect of transistor mismatch.

I was working as part of the EPSRC funded project Silicon Spiking Systems: Collective Parallel Computation & Adaptive Sensory Systems which was a collaboration between the universities of Edinburgh, Stirling and Oxford.

My thesis is avaliable here.
