This is kind of Adriatic - somewhere between Greece and Italy. A good use of slightly stale bread. Only worth doing if you have a really nice olive oil, otherwise it just tastes like grease.
For one person:
Preheat the grill to its hottest setting
Rub the garlic hard all over the piece of bread, so the garlic oil seeps into the bread. Now rub the basil into the bread. Dribble olive oil over the entire slice. Put the slice uner the grill and brown the edges of the bread. (Wash the garlic off your hands while you wait)
