Version 2.01 Sat 03rd March 2001

DateCopy is a Backup Utility. It copies all files created or modified after a given date to a new directory. You can then store this directory on CDs, floppies, a remote filespace, or whatever else. By first backing up all your files, and then periodically using this package, you can easily keep a record of all your current files, plus have a history of changes to frequently modified files

The inbuilt DateCopy manual gives detailed advice about how to do backups

The first full backup

It is strongly recommended that you do a full backup using DateCopy the first time you use it. However, if you have a recent backup done using some other means, you can make Datecopy think you did a full backup on a particular date. This is explained in the StrongHelp manual.

A Freeware (Egoware) release. If you download the program and find it either very useful or completely rubbish, please Email me your opinions. I will reply, but only once - I'm not going to try to extort money out of you or advertise silly programs at you. I just want to know who's using my program so I can inflate my ego. If you feel its worth sending me some money, I'm not going to stop you. If you feel its worth paying for the program, but you don't have access to UK Pound Sterling, US Dollars, or Euros, then give money to a charity and email me to say you did it so I can feel extra pleased with myself.

Written in C++

The program is written using a new class library, where each window is derived from a basic CWindow class. Anyone interested in developing code in C++ for RISC-OS (Especially those wanting to write code that can be ported to Windows more easily) might like to download the program and read the help file, which explains more.
