The NFSS version was the first radical change to the font handling
system of LaTeX version 2.09 to take place. This allowed the easier
implementation of font switching and the like. To run the NFSS
version, the command nfsslatex should be used. The
system documentation can be rather cryptic,
but mentions a number of the style options available. Some of the
