Beltona Resonator Guitars and Ukuleles

BELTONA'S NICE NEW HOME PAGE IS HERE!

Beltona was formed in 1991 by Steve Evans (a luthier/repairman) and Bill Johnson (an engineer) with the intention of producing the finest resonator instruments. It is a small enterprise and relies on the individual and complementary skills of these two people who are particularly interested in and committed to the uniqueness of each instrument. All components, including resonator cones, are made by Beltona.

Customers are encouraged to state individual specifications or requirements. Custom orders for body engraving and neck ornamentations/specifications are welcomed

Here are a couple of pictures of Beltona instruments - they are JPEG and shouldn't take too long to load, but don't press these buttons if you're in a hurry!

All instrument bodies are scientifically engineered using high-quality brass for evenness of tone and projection of sound. The shining durable finish is achieved with heavy nickel plating.

Hand-contoured necks are solid mahogany finished in clear or black lacquer. Ebony fingerboards are bound with ivory and have mother-of-pearl fret markers. Prismatic mother-of-pearl provides the veneer for the headstock.

Instruments (except ukuleles) have internally adjustable truss rods and all are supplied in sturdy fibreglass cases.
