The Followers of Rupert Bear : Official "Rupert the Bear" Website

Bill Badger The Followers of Rupert is an organisation (now having around 1000 members) set up in 1983 to bring together Rupert enthusiasts and to promote the appreciation of Rupert's past, present and future - here are our Constitution and rules. The organisation is intended primarily for adults but young people are welcome (and see below!). We enjoy the support of Rupert's publishers and see our mission in part at least to monitor and comment upon Rupert's development. Our quarterly journal is called The Nutwood Newsletter after Rupert's home village. It's full of serious through to semi-frivolous information, thoughts and research as well as news of new products related to our ursine chum.

Junior Followers' Club

We now offer a Junior Followers' Club - within which Junior Members receive birthday and Christmas cards from the Followers and are eligible to enter Ruperty competitions. Junior Followers must be "sponsored" by an adult Follower . Full details of Junior Membership will be sent to the joining adult.

BUT ... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ...
Do not email Alan simply to ask for valuations of Rupert items or where to buy a copy of the Frog Song video, or a fluffy Rupert toy. Alan does not know these things and will not reply to the email! If you are genuinely interested in Rupert, please join the Followers and enjoy all the benefits of membership.

Also : please note - the Followers' have taken a firm decision NOT to provide the names and addresses of dealers in Rupert material, as this would constitute a recommendation and would contravene our constitution. However, anyone joining the Followers will find paid dealer advertisements in occasional sheets included in the newsletter.
