MEng/BEng in Mobile Communications and Multimedia Engineering
Mobile Communications and Multimedia Engineering is designed to prepare graduates
for a career in the internet or mobile phones. Currently much work is being
carried out on the third generation of mobile phones, which offer high data rate
access to the internet, as well as voice communications. The growth in the
market for these services is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. There
is a shortage of skilled engineers in this area, so graduates of this degree
can look forward to well paid and challenging careers.
The MEng and BEng degree courses in Electronics have a
common structure
in the early years with the core subjects of Mathematics,
and Electrical Engineering. In the later years of the course specialist
subjects are taught including the Internet and World Wide Web, Image
Processing and Digital Communications to name but a few.
Full details, including typical entrance requirements, can be found in the
course flyer.
