MEng/BEng in Electronics

The MEng/BEng degree in Electronics gives both the general and specialist training needed for chip technology, design and manufacture. Video, computers, electronic games, virtual reality, mobile phones, as well as control systems in power stations, space exploration and medical electronics, are only some of the modern systems that need microelectronics (sometimes called VLSI - Very Large Scale Integrated) chips to work.

The MEng and BEng degree courses in Electronics have a common structure in the early years with the core subjects of Mathematics, and Electrical Engineering. In the later years of the course specialist subjects are taught including Large Scale Integrated Circuits, Microelectronic Device Principles and Circuits Engineering to name but a few.

Full details, including typical entrance requirements, can be found in the course flyer.
