Courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering are accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. We offer both MEng and BEng courses.

The MEng and BEng degree courses have a common structure in the early years with the core subjects of Mathematics, Structures, Geotechnics, Hydraulics and Design providing the platform from which broad based careers can be developed. In the later years of the course there is opportunity to specialise in areas such as non-destructive testing, thin wall structures, fire science and fire dynamics, contaminated land, and coastal engineering to name but a few.
