Policy

The School IT Policy is to provide support for:

Linux (server and client)

Sun Solaris Unix (server and client, legacy)

on desktop and laptop systems purchased in accord with School procurement guidelines.

NB: All computer systems must be Registered in the School's inventory of computing and networked devices (normally part of the purchasing and delivery procedures).

All `PC' systems are configured with Linux as the default operating system. MS-windows can be provided in addition where requested as a "dual-boot" option.
