The School Computing Labs

The School computing labs are equipped with workstations suitable for CAE design work:

• TLC - Sun Ultra24 Workstations (Running Linux SL5)
  • Located on 1st Floor Alrick Building. MAP
  • Two sections: 50 and 24 workstations respectvely, total 74
  • Data projector in main section
  • Upgraded Summer 2008
• TLF - Dual-boot LCFG Linux/Windows XP (DST) PC systems
  • Located at end of 1st Floor Fleeming Jenkin Building MAP
  • Separate Lab and Annex: 48 and 18 workstations respectvely, total 66
  • Data projector in main lab
  • Upgraded Summer 2005, Annex 2006
• TLG - "The Carnegie Computer Laboratory"
  • Dual-boot LCFG Linux/Windows XP (DST) PC systems
  • Located on Ground Floor Fleeming Jenkin Building North Entrance MAP
  • Two sections: 35 and 16 workstations respectvely, total 51
  • Data projector in main section
  • Upgraded Summer 2007

These are electronic hardware labs equipped with similar computers:

• TLE - Project Lab - Unmanaged PCs

Note: TLA (18 seats) can be used by Honours students (4th and 5th years only) for self study project work. Before using TLA, please check with the lab technician, Susan Kivlin (TLD).
