Student Junk Sale

Periodically, the School disposes of obsolete equipment.

Terms of sale

Basically, this is an opportunity for students to rake over cast-offs before, rather than after, we put them in a skip (or otherwise recycle) - and hence minimise the School's disposal costs.

The ``sale'' is of old equipment being thrown out by the School.

A voluntary charity bucket contribution is usually a few quid per item depending on age and usefulness.

IT MUST BE UNDERSTOOD THAT NO ITEMS ARE DEEMED TO BE WORKING OR FUNCTIONAL. NEITHER ARE ITEMS DEEMED TO BE SAFE TO USE.

Neither can any support be give by School staff to make it so. (A defunct item would normally be marked as such but there is no guaranttee)

Under no circumstances is any item to re-enter School premesis.

Items for sale - notice to staff.

All items for sale must first be de-registered from the equipment inventory (incl PAT testing database). If anyone has equipment to dispose of, then please mail Richard.Blair@ed and he will advise you on the location at which it should be gathered. Richard will then oversee the de-registration of items from the equipment inventory.
