PhD Project:

A Physically Based Design Fire Methodology for Structural Analysis of Non-conventional Buildings

The main objective of Jamie's PhD is to further develop a methodology for design fires for structural analysis. The method will be based on the physics of enclosure fires and will be developed so it can be applied to a variety of complex compartment shapes and sizes. This is to address the shortcomings of the existing design fire methodologies for structural analysis, i.e. Eurocode Parametric Equations, Standard Time-Temperature Curve.
