Engineering at the University of Edinburgh

Engineering has been taught in one form or another since 1673 and the Regius Chair of Engineering was founded in 1868. Since then the School has grown from strength to strength with over 1,200 students studying both undergraduate and postgraduate courses being taught by around 80 permanent members of academic staff and many more visiting academics.

The School of Enginering offers degrees in the four main disciplines of Engineering:
