SCUBA-2 Detector for the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope


The SCUBA-2 project involves the IMNS, the ATC, Cardiff, NIST and a consortium of Canadian Universities.  It is to be mounted into the JCM telescope shown in figure 1. Figure shows a schematic view of an inbdividual pixel with figure 3 showing an SEM of the pixel absorber brick. Figure 4 shows one quadrant of the detector and MUX wafer that atr indium bump bonded together. Figure 5 shows the detector quadrant attached to the CuBe hairbrush. SCUBA-2 publications give more details on the project.
