Fluid droplet manipulation Liquid droplets are moved on electrode arrays using electrowetting.  The basic construction is shown in figure 1 and the droplets are moved by applying a voltage to the appropriate electrodes. Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5 show videos of the movement, joining, splitting and dispensing of droplets.
