February 2009:
Research featured in Journal of Environmental Monitoring

Many congratulations to  Dr Blanca Antizar-Ladislao of IIE in having recent ground-breaking research featured on the outside front cover of the Journal of Environmental Monitoring.  The cover shows Northern Atlantic Spain's coastal marine sediments influenced by industrial effluents from a nearby shipyard and near by yachting marina.

Dr Antizar-Ladislao's manuscript presents, for the first time, a comprehensive characterization of marine sediments on the northern Atlantic Spanish coast, and it identifies potential sources of pollution. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, phathalates and organotins were analyzed in marine sediments.

Well done, Blanca!
